Supa Floppy Beret

Materials:

  • 1 Ball of Kirkton House Cosy Wool in Blue. (This is a limited edition wool, so it might be rather hard to get hold of. Try using around 12 ply, or chunky.)
  • 6.50mm Hook.

Abbreviations:

  • Rd/s: Round/s
  • Htr: Half Treble Crochet
  • Tr: Treble Crochet
  • Ss: Slip Stitch
  • Ch: Chain
  • (1): 1 Stitch (etc)
  • St: Stitch
  • Rep: Repeat
  • tr2tog: Treble Crochet 2 Together
  • [3]: Continue For 3 Rows

Notes:

  • Ch 2 at start of rds doesn’t count as a stitch, it is only to get the first tr to the right height.

 

Pattern:

Ch 3, ss into a circle.

Rd 1: Ch 2, 14 tr into the circle, ss into top of 1st tr. (14) 

Rd 2: Ch 2, 2 tr into the base of the ch, 2 tr into every st to end, ss into top of 1st tr. (28)

Rd 3: Ch 2, 1 tr into st at base of ch, 2 tr into next st, * 1 tr into 1st st, 2 tr into next st* rep from * to end, ss into top of 1st tr. (42)

Rd 4: Ch 2, 1 tr into st at base of ch, 1 tr into every st, ss into top of 1st tr. (42)

Rd 5: Ch 2, 2 tr into st at base of ch, 1 tr into next st, 1 tr into next st, * 2 tr into st, 1 tr into next st, 1 tr into next st* rep from * to end, ss into top of 1st tr. (56)

Rd 6: Ch 2, 2 tr at base of ch, 1 tr into next st, * 2 tr, 1 tr*, rep from * to end, ss into top of 1st tr. (84)
