As summer is (kind of) on the way, I decided it was time to make my first milkshake, on this blog. It is more of an inspirational recipe, if you are in one of those moods where you open the freezer, and you don’t have the mental capacity to choose which frozen fruit you want to blend up.
Firstly I want to apologise for the pictures. They are horrific.
Anyways, let’s get started. I used frozen berries, and fresh bananas
Makes about three of the glasses in the picture.
A handful of strawberries (fresh or frozen)
A handful of raspberries (fresh or frozen)
A few glugs of milk
Several drops of fresh or bottled lemon juice (this is optional, as it adds a more earthy taste, with a slight bite, which can be very cleansing to take in the morning.)
1) Throw all the fruit into the blended (not literally, if course!)
2) Add the milk.
4) If you are using the lemon juice, I would strongly advise adding it in once the milkshake is in the glasses, in case you end up pouring too much in, and curdling it, this way it means you lose only one cup, as opposed to the whole jug. If not, then just add it into the jug, now. But it is entirely up to you.
